TripBudgy Terms and Conditions

1.1 License to Use

TripBudgy grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not use the App for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms.

1.2 App Purpose

TripBudgy is a travel expense tracking application designed to help users manage and track their travel expenses, create trips, categorize spending, and analyze their travel budgets.

1.3 Account Requirements

The App offers both anonymous usage and account-based usage. To take advantage of all features, including data backup, you may create an account using Sign in with Apple. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep this information updated.

2.1 Content You Provide

Our App allows you to enter, upload, and store various data related to your travels and expenses. You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or store within the App.

2.2 Data Backup

When using the App with an authenticated account (non-anonymous), your data is automatically backed up to secure cloud storage. By using these backup features, you consent to the transmission and storage of your data on our servers or those of our service providers.

2.3 Data Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all data and information you enter into the App. We strongly recommend creating regular backups of your important data.

3.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others or inhibit their use and enjoyment of the App. You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

3.2 Prohibited Activities

When using our App, you agree not to:

• Use the App in any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations;
• Attempt to interfere with, compromise the system integrity or security, or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running the App;
• Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the App for any purpose;
• Bypass any measures we may use to prevent or restrict access to the App;
• Introduce any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, logic bombs, or other harmful material;
• Upload or transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
• Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or hack the App, or defeat or overcome any of our encryption technologies or security measures or data transmitted, processed, or stored by us;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, damage, or disrupt any parts of the App, the server on which the App is stored, or any server, computer, or database connected to the App;
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.

4.1 App Content and Features

The App, its original content, features, functionality, design elements, and all intellectual property rights related to it are and shall remain the exclusive property of TripBudgy and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws both in the United States and foreign countries.

4.2 Trademarks

All trademarks, service marks, logos, trade names, and any other proprietary designations of TripBudgy used herein are trademarks or registered trademarks of TripBudgy. Any other trademarks, service marks, logos, trade names, and any other proprietary designations used in this App are the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners.

4.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, ideas, suggestions, or recommendations to us regarding the App ("Feedback"), you acknowledge that the Feedback is not confidential, and you grant us a nonexclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, create derivative works from, publicly perform, publicly display, distribute, make, and have made the Feedback in any form, media, or technology, whether now known or hereafter developed.

5.1 Privacy Policy

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and disclose information from our users. By accessing or using the App, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

5.2 Data Storage

When you use the App without an account (in anonymous mode), all data is stored locally on your device. When you use the App with a registered account, your data is backed up to our secure servers to provide backup and cross-device accessibility.

6.1 Third-Party Services and Links

The App may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by TripBudgy. TripBudgy has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

You acknowledge and agree that TripBudgy shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such websites or services.

6.2 Firebase Services

Our App uses Firebase services for authentication and data backup. Your use of these services is also governed by Google's terms of service and privacy policy.

7.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by ceasing to use the App and/or deleting it from your device. If you wish to delete your account, you can do so through the App's settings or by contacting us directly.

7.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend access to our App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, if you breach the Terms.

7.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the App. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

8.1 "As Is" and "As Available" Basis

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. TripBudgy does not warrant that the App will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location, or that any errors or defects will be corrected.

8.2 Currency Conversion and Financial Data

While the App provides currency conversion and financial tracking features, these are for informational purposes only. TripBudgy is not a financial institution and does not provide financial advice. Currency conversion rates are approximate and may not reflect actual market rates. You should verify all financial information independently.

8.3 Location Data

The App's location features are for convenience only. TripBudgy does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any location data. Location data should not be used for navigation or in critical situations.

8.4 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall TripBudgy, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App;
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the App;
• Any content obtained from the App; and
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
